Job Description :
The person hired for the position Shipping / Receiving Clerk will be responsible for shipping and receiving products in the plant.
They operate a forklift, ensure shipping standards are met, finalize products, and prepare them for shipping.
Responsibilities :
- Observing all safety procedures, maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Applying quality instructions & specifications
- Monitoring the packing operation to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Loading / unloading material into & from equipment.
Working as a team member through sharing information, problem solving & assisting others
Your Skills and Expertise :
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications :
Required :
Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain clean & organized stock areas to 5S standards within Stores, Warehouse, and outlying production storage facilities across the plant site.
- Operate material handling equipment (carts, pallet jacks, rolling racks, lifts, etc.) in a safe manner.
- Drive Company vehicles to transfer materials between buildings.
- Preparing goods and documentation for shipments to customers or for transfer to outlying production storage facilities by packaging, labeling, palletizing, and shrink wrapping as might be required.
- Contribute to finding solutions, making improvements & eliminating waste.
- Labels crates and / or containers with appropriate information & instructions.
- Serves as back up for purchase order execution.
- Actively participate in 5S and 5D problem solving activities within the shift; actively participates in the Lean Management System.
- Initiates TPM checklist for forklift maintenance as required.
- Supports cross training by learning new processes as assigned.
- Experienced operators participate and mentor operators with less experience to ensure successful and effective teams.
- Actively engages in effective teamwork and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
- Must be able to work any shift and cover overtime as necessary to maintain business operations. Work location :
