Machine Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various machinery and ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of precision measuring instruments, blueprint reading, and the ability to work with various materials. The Machine Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.

Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46268
Shift: Morning - 6:00AM - 2:30PM Shift, Monday to Friday

Duties

• Operate machinery including presses and other equipment to fabricate parts according to specifications
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers to ensure accurate dimensions
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand production requirements
• Perform CAM programming for automated machinery as needed
• Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading using forklifts
• Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines

Requirements

• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and basic math skills
• Experience with CAM programming is preferred but not mandatory
• Familiarity with materials handling techniques and forklift operation is an asset
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to fabricate parts as required
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
