Job Summary
The Press Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining machines that shape and form metal or other materials through a die press process. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Job Title: Press Operator
Location: Charlotte North Carolina 28216
Shift: Evening- 2nd Shift: 4:00:00 PM- 2:15:00 AM, Monday-Thursday
Duties
- Set up and operate mechanical and hydraulic presses
- Monitor machine operations to ensure products meet specifications
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to standards
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Troubleshoot issues with machinery as they arise
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in CAM programming for press operations
- Experience in materials handling within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of tooling setup and maintenance
- Ability to operate a forklift safely
- Familiarity with assembly line processes
- Proficient in using hand tools for adjustments and minor repairs
- Understanding of machining techniques and principles
- Welding experience is a plus
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar software is advantageous
- Strong foundation in basic math skills
