Job Summary
The Production Associate is responsible for executing production activities and operating production equipment to meet order shipment requirements, while ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality regulations. The role includes handling raw materials, executing batch processes, monitoring equipment, packaging finished goods, and supporting warehouse functions. This position is crucial in maintaining product integrity, safety standards, and plant efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and transport raw materials from storage to designated areas.
- Weigh ingredients as per batch specifications and load them into dump stations/mixers.
- Operate mixing, blending, and packaging equipment across two packaging lines (manual and automatic).
- Perform inspection and reconciliation of batch labels and ensure correct sampling procedures.
- Conduct visual inspections of incoming raw materials (3PRM) and finished goods.
- Monitor equipment, record process data, and report process deviations or equipment malfunctions.
- Support quality deviation investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, following Master Sanitation Schedule and cGMP guidelines.
- Communicate shift details with incoming personnel and supervisors.
- Participate in safety programs (Behavior Based Safety, Safe Start) and adhere to Client Life Saving Rules.
- Operate forklifts and perform shipping, receiving, and inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Attend training in safety, quality, and standard procedures, and complete all required e-learning.
- Support lab submissions, sampling for homogeneity and carryover, and document findings appropriately.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in operating computers and following digital procedures.
- Must be able to operate a forklift (training provided if necessary).
- Demonstrated understanding of SHE and Quality standards and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Prior experience with feed premix production or similar batch-processing environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2008 and FAMI-QS certifications is a plus.

- Forklift Operator Certification (preferred or must obtain after hire).
