4 Sisters is a family-centered, trauma-integrated, innovation Case Management Company and we are expanding to our new location in Dixie, Levy, Gilchrist, and Taylor counties.
Role
The Child Welfare Transportation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of children in foster care to and from appointments, visits, court hearings, school, or other scheduled activities. This role requires a high level of responsibility, professionalism, and sensitivity to the unique needs of children in the foster care system
Essential Job Functions
- Transportation Services :
Safely transport children to and from scheduled appointments, visitations, school, and other activities as assigned.
Ensure children are secure during transit using age-appropriate car seats or seat belts.
Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, times, and child behavior.
Communicate respectfully and effectively with children, foster parents, biological families, and caseworkers.
Keep the assigned vehicle clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., snacks, toys, or car seats).
Required Education / Training / Certifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Requirements for Drivers
Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to meet the FDOT medical standards for drivers, including vision and physical health requirements.
Adherence to all FDOT safety regulations, including vehicle inspections and proper maintenance
Participation in drug and alcohol screening as required under FDOT and company policies.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

As with all employees of 4Sisters, employee must pass extensive background screening required of our license and organization. These include Level 2 clearance in child welfare, local law enforcement, social media review, and Diana Screen® (www.dianascreen.com).
