Description
A full-time position, including benefits, to lead and sustain a high-quality liturgy program involving Altar Servers, Extra Ordinary Ministers of Communion, Lectors, Liturgical Environment Ministers, Sacristans, and Ushers. The vision will focus on the overall formation of our people in the service and sacrifice of the Mass so that all may experience an “Encounter with Jesus Christ Through the Liturgy.” Under the direction of the Pastor, this person will plan seasonally appropriate liturgy, ensure the training and scheduling of other liturgical volunteers, maintain sacristy supplies, supervise the seasonal decoration of the Nave, and collaborate with school leaders, as well as Music, Funeral and Wedding Coordinators, to implement the overall parish vision.
Qualifications
- Meets regularly with the Parish Pastor to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated liturgy plan for the liturgical seasons of the Church year.
- Collaborates with Pastoral Assistant for Liturgical Music to plan and coordinate music that is liturgically appropriate for weekend parish liturgies, designated liturgies, and special celebrations (e.g., Holy Days, parish feast days, funerals, weddings, etc.).
- Recruit other liturgical ministries (Altar Servers, Extra Ordinary Ministers of Communion, Lectors, Liturgical Environment Ministers, Musicians, Sacristans, and Ushers).
- Develop parish volunteers for roles in all liturgical ministries.
- Ensure the scheduling of liturgical volunteers.
- Maintain the monthly Parish Liturgy Calendar and other useful documents for communicating with Liturgy staff and volunteers.
- Develop and adhere to liturgy budgets.
- Supervise inventory of liturgical supplies (albs, Eucharist supplies, liturgical environment supplies, etc.).
- Support volunteers' spiritual growth and skill enhancement through periodic spiritual retreats or workshops.
- Actively participate in the Worship Commission.
- Attend parish staff meetings and retreats.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
