Expense Team–Associate

                       

Job Description:       

The Expense Team Associate will support all aspects of the BXCI Expense Team.  We are looking for a candidate who is eager highly motivated.  A background in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not required.  The associate will provide support in the day-to-day management of expense software (EAS), allocate expenses across clients and funds, and manage special projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inventory of services and allocation procedures
  • Troubleshoot to identify system discrepancies related to duplicate and unallocated expenses
  • Allocate market data and technology expenses
  • Perform finance groups’ review of expenses for approval or rejection
  • Oversee offshore team for various projects and manage their day-to-day tasks
  • Serve as a Project Manager for areas that require process improvement, requiring creating project plans, suggesting areas where increased efficiencies can be achieved and liaising with Technology, Legal, Finance and other Business Units to drive projects to completion
  • Analyze Legal and Compliance guidance for incorporation into Expense Allocation System (EAS)
  • Maintain and update EAS rules for consistent and auditable expense allocation
  • Oversee segments of deal expense invoicing

Qualifications:

Candidates should exhibit strong technical and analytical skills as well as exceptional communication skills. Candidates should be motivated, team-oriented individuals committed to finding innovative solutions who thrive on challenge in dynamic environment. This role requires someone who can learn effectively, work independently and pivot in response to shifting priorities.  Candidates must have fundamental knowledge of business and finance concepts in order to support a wide variety of functions as the team’s work touches on many aspects of the business.  The individual must be able to identify and troubleshoot risk.  We are looking for an ambitious candidate who can master a myriad of tasks.

  • 4 years of relevant experience
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Skillful in identifying and troubleshooting risk
  • Effectively multiple tasks at once and identify priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to switch tasks in order to support a wide variety of functions
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with EAS Software and Oracle is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to summarize issues, develop recommendations and make decisions
  • Proactive and takes initiative

Expected annual base salary range:

$105,000 - $140,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
