Duties & Responsibilities:
● Load, run, and unload the dish machine efficiently.
● Ensure the dish machine is clean and immediately report any mechanical or functional issues.
● Monitor water temperature in the dish machine to guarantee a sanitary wash cycle.
● Wash and properly store all tableware and kitchenware.
● Keep the dish room clean and well-organized.
● Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen operations.
● Bag and transport trash to the dumpster as needed.
● Handle all tableware with care to avoid breakage or loss.
● Monitor and maintain sufficient levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
● Clean food preparation and production areas, as well as the dish room, as required.
● Be ready to fill in as necessary to ensure smooth restaurant operations, as directed by the restaurant manager or supervisor.
● Perform daily cleaning of walls, floors, sinks, mops, and cooler floors.
Qualifications:
● No prior restaurant experience is required.
● Physically capable of lifting, reaching, bending, and stooping.
● Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
● Able to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
● Current, valid California food handlers card
