41 North Coffee Co in Wendell, NC is looking for one cook/chef to join our 26 person strong team. We are located on 41 N Main St. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and hard-working. Clean and organized. Able to work independently and as part of a team. We are a small family business looking to continue to grow our kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Work as a team player to complete assigned daily tasks
- Ability to be a self motivated individual adding value to the team
- Follow prep lists and recipes accurately
- Ability to work safely and efficiently while performing knife tasks
- Daily setting up/breakdown/cleanliness of station and respected kitchen areas
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and cleanliness .
- Breaking down and deep cleaning of kichen equipment including the hood
- Proper labeling/storing/dating of all food items in all areas of the restaurant
- Oversees their designated station and holds responsibility for all items produced.
- Collaborates with fellow BOH staff to ensure the food quality and standards are met assuring consistency across the board
- Communicate with FOH to endure food is up to standards and being served hot.
- Great communication and ability to keep people informed of supplies
- Performs other duties assigned by supervisor/managers
- Attention to detail and pride in the food you put out.
Requirements
- Ability to work organized and individually run the station
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to take direction concisely and thoughtfully
- Ability to work midday/evening/weekend shifts
- Ability to follow uniform rules and to be clean for every shift
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
- Must be able to move, pull or lift at least 50 pounds
