Junior Interior Designer

4C Group is a fast-growing design firm that specializes in custom high quality custom homes. We are looking for a talented and creative Junior Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a creative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual who is also willing to learn.

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist design team on designated projects - construction specifications through furnishings

Collect and maintain materials for designated projects

• Update & label materials for project in project bin
• Sample ordering for project specific materials

Sample ordering for team

• Order new samples requested by design team
• Schedule rep visits to obtain new samples for future projects

Presentations

• Set-up presentation format for designated projects
• Ensure consistency in layout and format
• Ensure selections are included in presentation

Collect imagery

• Assist design team in conceptual presentations by collecting imagery

Schematic Drafting

• Use AutoCAD to draft schematic design with the direction of the design team

2D Renderings

• Render design in Adobe Photoshop to depict design and show material/finishes

Construction Documents

• Assist on Construction documents for designated projectsFollow CAD standards
• Dimensions and calloutsConsistency across pages - example Electrical plan to Electrical on elevation drawings
• Making schedules for designated projects and keeping them updated with new selectionsFollow format in template and apply across all schedules

Site Visit

• Assist design team with site visits for major points in construction process - framing, electrical, etc
• Checking dimensions onsite

Meetings

• Responsible for detailed notes
• Notes entered into a daily log and reviewed by lead designer

Furniture Phase:

• Assist with furnishing selections ( furniture, area rugs, fabrics, wall coverings, art, bedding, accessories, homeware, etc)

Pricing

• Assist in obtaining quotes & lead times

Design software input - Studio Designer

• Responsible for entering product information and quotes into Studio Designer

COM Forms

• Create COM for all custom pieces using the company’s COM form or 4C Group form

Installation Prep

• Schedule installation with movers
• Work with purchaser to track items for installation
• Launder bedding
• Printing furniture plans for each area
• Have list of items ready for installation to check off during install

Installs

• Assist lead designer with confirming items arrived
• Inspect items in rooms to document damages
• Photo document any damages
• Help direct movers to place furniture in correct locations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
