Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the daily human resources needs of the organization. While this position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, the Human Resources Assistant must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and process resumes, sending them to managers as appropriate
- Prepare offer letters, process all pre-hire paperwork, schedule applicants for fingerprints and submit background checks
- Assist with the onboarding of temporary associates
- Keep applicants apprised of the status of their pre-hire requirements and schedule for orientation when everything is received
- Create electronic orientation and personnel files
- Create and process all name badges
- Set up the orientation schedule and send notifications of attendees
- Assist with orientation and provide additional support when needed
- Assign and track new hire trainings in the HRIS
- Create and assign new training paths as necessary
- Assist with applicant tracking
- Assist with the candidate selection process: review resumes and schedule interviews
- Track auto insurance requirements and notify associates when expiring
- Track and process staff development
- Complete monthly sanction checks (OIG/SAM)
- Respond to and upload HR correspondence

- Eligible for $150/month ($1,800 annually) in student loan repayment, available at hire
- Earn $750 for every person you refer who is hired and remains employed for 6 months and receive an additional $500 every year as long as you both remain employed

Requirements:
Education:
- A High School graduate or GED required. An Associates Degree or higher, or a certification in business or human resources preferred but not required.
Experience:
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an office environment
- Prior experience in human resources and working with HRIS system preferred
Skills/Knowledge:
- Knowledge of data entry processes with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work with confidential information, using discretion and maintaining confidentiality
- Must be organized and pay close attention to detail
- Must be able to prioritize work and remain flexible
