Responsibilities
- Lead the design of user interfaces and experiences, ensuring they are intuitive, visually appealing, and aligned with user expectations.
- Establish and champion design processes that foster collaboration, creativity, and user-centered design practices.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Develop and communicate design strategies that align with user-centered design principles and overall company objectives.
- Initiate and drive design projects from concept to implementation, providing hands-on design work when needed.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to inform design decisions and improvements.
- Create and maintain design guidelines, patterns, and design systems to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with UI front end engineers to ensure accurate and high-quality implementation of design concepts and proposals.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization and drive awareness of the value of design.
- Prepare for the growth of a design team by identifying potential candidates and participating in the hiring process.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging design technologies.
- 2-5 Years of UX Design Experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- Experience working in an environment with few design resources and ability to effectively manage the many demands on your time.
- Proven track record of ability to empower engineering teams with design collateral.
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD) and experience with design systems.
- Familiarity with user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain design concepts to non-designers.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to take ownership of design tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to design challenges.
