The HRBP functions as a business partner, working with others through leadership, influence, and personal credibility to provide and facilitate HR strategies and services. In this role you will serve as the primary HR contact to Leadership of your assigned business unit for all HR programs, and regularly provide HR status updates to the HR Management team. The HRBP will interact with all levels of the organization including managers, employees, and HR colleagues to prioritize timely and effective delivery of HR services in supporting business initiatives. The role requires operational and project management skills to ensure HR remains an active contributor to the success and goals of your business unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a "talent agent" to help identify, develop, and deploy talent to meet short- and long-term business requirements by partnering with Talent Acquisition and business unit leaders
  • Continually partner with leaders to evaluate and develop employees within the organization including career planning, skill building, and competency modeling.
  • Develop strong and trusted relationships with business leaders, people managers and employees, and provide guidance on all organization and people matters
  • Function with an equitable, inclusive, and diverse lens across how we operate as a team and within your business unit to reinforce culture of inclusivity
  • Drive retention and engagement strategies to continually develop and retain high performer and high potential talent
  • Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, relocations, promotions, and job re-leveling.
  • Drive employee relation issues to resolution, including supporting and coaching leaders through the performance management process and escalating when necessary.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Processing all employee related job changes throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Partner with HR Specialist(s) to ensure administrative duties such as onboarding, payroll details, and a variety of other HR tasks are processed accordingly within your unit.
  • Bring an innovative mindset to solving people problems and collaborate with the broader HR team and business unit to find creative solutions
  • Assess and communicate leadership gaps and provide recommendations to overcome barriers.
  • Manage communications and project plans related to HR program delivery to assigned business unit
  • Proactively leverage HR system data for business unit and other reporting vehicles to maintain high integrity of employee and organizational data; provide management information analysis using data and metrics.
  • Keep abreast of legislation, proactively plan, communicate, and leverage policies and practices for Human Resources in compliance with current state and federal law.
  • Receptive to other duties as needed/assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an HRBP/Generalist with demonstrated success in the key accountabilities for this role – namely executive advisership and helping leaders de-escalating employee relations issues
  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully partnering with other People functions (i.e., Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, etc.).
  • Experience working directly with and advising Business leaders to influence outcomes.
  • High degree of Emotional Intelligence.
  • A data-minded approach, experience with quantitative and qualitative data analytics, and the ability to use data to influence and drive decision-making.
  • High level of curiosity and strong critical and ecosystem thinking skills.
  • Travel 15%

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires walking, sitting, and using the computer to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees
  • Able to work extended hours as necessary
  • Able to work with standard office/computer equipment
  • Capable of working in an open office environment and/or remotely

Pay Range: $80,000- $90,000 plus bonus
