As a Staff Accountant I, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial operations mission-ready. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you’ll help maintain the general ledger, prepare financial reports, support audits and budgeting, and reconcile accounts with precision. You’ll also collaborate closely with our finance team to drive strategic, financial, and operational initiatives that keep 5.11 strong.

What You’ll Do:
- Perform month-end journal entries and account reconciliations for areas such as cash, prepaids, intangibles, goodwill, and operating expenses.
- Gather and review supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial close.
- Prepare reports and financial analytics across wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels.
- Analyze financial activity and provide cost center business partners with insights on profitability, budget performance, and operational effectiveness.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure the accuracy of accounting entries.
- Assist finance management with annual budgeting and forecasting.
- Investigate budget vs. actual variances and provide accurate explanations.
- Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation and insights.
- Other duties assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting preferred).
- Working knowledge of U.S. accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CPA certification (or in progress) is a plus.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 plus bonus
