Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
5 West Group is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Canton, OH area. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities located onsite at the property, as well as assisting with any maintenance needs of the community. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who enjoys being hands-on and wants to improve their knowledge. We offer competitive compensation and a great benefits package.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but willing to train the right person.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to climb a ladder or otherwise, as high as I need.
- Must be able to move furniture, weights, etc. up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Complete maintenance calls to include light housekeeping, painting, carpentry, and more.
- Respond to resident requests for maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Respond to emergency calls as needed.
- Inspect and maintain all common areas; painting if necessary.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks on a weekly basis that may include but are not limited to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting and more.
- Respond to maintenance issues on a timely basis while ensuring quality workmanship.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position may be open through a phase-in or open position that could lead to a permanent position at this location or location(s).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
