Your Role: Reporting to the SVP of Core Solutions and Systems, The Vice President of Service Delivery oversees enterprise-wide testing, scrum engineering, IT analyst, release management, and performance engineering functions, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with business goals. This role is pivotal in defining and implementing frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance the organization's release cycles, system performance, overall analyst and software quality, and scrum engineering practice.
The incumbent will play a crucial leadership role in transforming how we build mature quality, testing and delivery of technology for our Core Insurance engineering function. This role will lead a cross-functional team of dedicated quality assurance engineers, developers, analysts and scrum engineers. He/she/they will strategically partner with product line leaders to deliver “best-in-class" systems that fulfill expected business outcomes and value.
Your work:
Strategic and transformational leadership:
Develop and execute the strategy for enterprise testing, release management, and performance engineering to support organizational goals and IT roadmaps.
Establish a vision for continuous improvement in quality assurance, performance testing, and release cycles, ensuring operational efficiency and reduced time-to-market.
Act as a key partner to senior executives, aligning IT service delivery strategies with business priorities.
Enterprise Testing:
Lead the design and execution of comprehensive enterprise testing strategies, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Oversee the implementation of automation frameworks and tools to improve test coverage and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to quality standards across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
Release Management:
Define and implement enterprise-wide release management processes and tools, enabling seamless deployment and integration of new systems and updates.
Establish a robust governance framework for managing release schedules, approvals, and risk assessments.
Drive automation in CI/CD pipelines to enhance release velocity and reliability.
Performance Engineering:
Lead the development and execution of performance engineering strategies, including load testing, stress testing, and capacity planning.
Oversee the implementation of tools and metrics to monitor and optimize application performance and scalability.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and address performance bottlenecks proactively.
Operational Excellence:
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of testing, release, and performance engineering functions.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across teams.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership and Development:
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of testing, release management, and performance engineering professionals.
Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across cross-functional teams.
Drive talent development initiatives, ensuring the team stays abreast of industry trends and best practices.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring value-driven partnerships.
Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, effectively communicating progress, challenges, and opportunities related to service delivery.
Leads resource capacity planning and allocation for projects and shifts resources within IT Value Streams to focus on the highest priorities.
Required Experience, Education and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems Degree or equivalent experience
7 years in an Engineering leadership role required
10 years managing technology Programs required
Experience in managing diverse teams in multiple locations
Experience modernizing platforms required

Proven ability to lead others directly or indirectly, as demonstrated through 7 years of leading teams, enterprise-wide programs, or large cross-functional programs with at least 3 of those years directly managing others.
