Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller with an active CPA license to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with the ability to provide insightful financial analysis and reporting. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the financial health of our organization.
Duties
- Oversee the financial operations of the company, including GL, AP, AR, inventory, and multi-state payroll
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Manage all aspects of governmental accounting, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Conduct thorough financial report writing to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
- Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Oversee financial management processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
- Ensure accurate regulatory reporting by staying updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the accounting profession.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights on financial concepts that drive business performance.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is mandatory.
- 5 - 10 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of debits and credits, as well as proficiency in financial management principles.
- Experience with GAAP standards and accounting practices is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in financial report writing and analysis.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex financial data.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Compensation: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year DOE
Must be able to relocate to Washington or Nevada.
