We are seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, and supporting budgeting and reporting processes. This role is essential in maintaining transparency, financial integrity, and efficiency in support of our organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and deposits.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with leadership.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.
• Support grant accounting, including tracking restricted and unrestricted funds and preparing financial reports for funders.
• Assist in preparing and coordinating audits and tax filings, including IRS Form 990.
• Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or relevant nonprofit accounting certification is a plus.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Blackbaud, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting standards, fund accounting, and IRS regulations for tax-exempt organizations.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
