We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to oversee our financial transactions, encompassing fixed payments, variable expenses, bank deposits, and budget management. The ideal candidate will be an independent individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment. Key responsibilities for this role include reviewing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating payroll, LNI, and government hours. To excel in this position, previous experience in bookkeeping and a keen eye for identifying numerical discrepancies are essential. Ultimately, you will play a vital role in providing accurate and insightful information regarding our business's financial position, liquidity, and cash flows while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Publish financial statements on time
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
- Produce and operate payroll functions
Requirements
- Work experience as an Accountant
- Expert skill in Quickbooks and Google platform
- Ability to be independent and move the company forward.
- Ability to be a team player.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience in recording LNI and Government pay is a plus, and I am willing to learn it.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
- Willing to work from our office
Terms:
- 3 Days Try Period: You will try and be evaluated during training
- 3-week Trial Period: Your skills will be evaluated, and the company will determine what position you are qualified for or if you might be let go.
