Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects during all phases – conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid packages
- Work closely with project managers, preconstruction, and business development teams to support competitive proposals
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and project hand-offs to ensure alignment with construction teams
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- 5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of local subcontractor market and pricing trends
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Timberline, or similar platforms
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a tight-knit preconstruction team
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
