5C Investment Partners is a private credit investing platform founded by industry veterans Tom Connolly and Michael Koester and built around an unwavering focus on fundamentals. As a reliable and creative financing partner, 5C seeks to deliver attractive, risk-adjusted investment returns. The 5C team is growing as it prepares to launch its flagship BDC and is on its way to developing several private fund complexes and other credit investment opportunities.
5C is seeking to add an Executive Assistant to our growing team who would report to and directly support one of our Co-Founders, two Managing Partners, and our Investment Team at our New York City headquarters. This person will be a valuable and trusted resource to our organization as a whole. As this individual will have a high degree of interaction with prominent external parties (e.g., investors, CEOs and board members) they should be extremely polished and professional, with demonstrated experience effectively supporting senior/prominent individuals.
This individual’s regularly expected work hours are 8:30 AM – 5:30/6:00 PM (with appropriate breaks and eligible for overtime) with some flexibility for outside hours when business requires. Due to the nature of this position, their duties require being performed in-office.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide full high-level executive administration support to the Co-Founder & Managing Partner, with some light personal duties.
- Provide administrative support to the Investment Team’s Partners (currently 2).
- Provide general support to the investment team such as coordinating complex meetings, document preparation, retrieving mail and ordering supplies, arranging events and meals.
- Answer phones (using Zoom Phone) and initiate responses promptly with excellent etiquette and the ability to screen calls.
- Ensure calendars are running on time by actively maintaining calls, meetings, and emails that require reminders and follow up.
- Coordinates complex, senior-level internal/ external meetings and conference calls.
- Coordinate visitors by communicating procedures, meeting and greeting guests and visitors, and supporting them as needed.
- Act as the liaison between internal and external parties, developing a direct relationship and interacting with investors, their EAs/staff; senior executives, board members, and other team members.
- Complete expense reports and ensure on time submissions.
- Provide back-up support to other firm Executive Assistants on demand on a variety of projects and daily activities, including coverage during PTO.
- Assist the firm with ad-hoc tasks, as requested.
Executive Assistant responsibilities at 5C are subject to change as we continue to scale our firm and require flexibility to support the growing needs of the business.
Experience/Skills
- 6 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, or in a similar role, with a proven track record of supporting Senior/C-Level or prominent individuals.
- Previous experience within financial services is a strong plus, but not required.
- High level of professionalism, discernment, and integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately and with discretion
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (e.g., emails, reports, and memos), with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, including senior executives, and prominent outside contacts in a professional manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated dependability and sense of urgency about getting results.
- Able to prioritize calendars, meetings, responses and tasks with accuracy, concision, and professionalism.
- Experience managing multiple phone lines. Previous Zoom Phone experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive.

Education/Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, but not required.
Compensation:
The expected base salary for this position is $95,000 – 115,000 commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education. This role is overtime eligible and will have a built-in pre-approved budget to allow for their working hours. Additionally, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on factors such as individual and team performance.
