We currently have a career opportunity available for an experienced Painter to repair, maintain, upkeep and replace the hotel’s cosmetic materials (interior/exterior painting, patching of woodwork and furniture refinishing).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Wall preparation, wall covering, wall and furniture finishing etc.
• Apply paints, stains, primers, varnishes, epoxies and other protective coverings to prepared surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces as needed and remove old paint when necessary.
• Properly prepare work areas by removing furniture, laying drop cloths and protecting work areas and occupants from spills, splatters and dust.
• Maintain inventory of painting supplies and materials, and keep work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Estimate quantities and help select paints, wall coverings and other materials as needed.
• Hang wall paper, vinyl wall covering, wall guards and similar materials.
• Must know how to mix and blend paints to obtain desired colors.
• Must be able to estimate time and determine appropriate types of paint to use on various surfaces.
• Assist in other areas of Engineering as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must have prior experience as a professional Painter, and provide references.
• Knowledge and experience of porcelain and ceramic tile installation .
• This position requires standing/moving/lifting heavy objects during the entire shift.
• This is a guest contact position; excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Flexibility with scheduling is required.
