Job Description: Parsons is now hiring a Senior Roadway Engineer to join our top-performing transportation team in either our established Cincinnati office or our soon-to-open Akron office location! In this role, you will gain exciting and valuable experience on major ODOT projects and the occasional national road and highway project, leading junior engineers and gaining knowledge and support from our expert team of roadway engineers. You will contribute on diverse projects and designs for both conventional and integrated delivery (design/build) projects. Your projects may include projects such as roadway rehabilitations, bridge rehabilitations, new roadway designs, interstate widening/expansions, roundabouts, toll-lanes, intersection improvements - just to name a few! What You'll Be Doing: Perform a variety of design and analysis functions for road/highway & related projects Perform vertical alignments, & horizontal impacts, analyze cross-sections, calculate super-elevations, & execute grading and permit/plan preparation Perform complex engineering computations & analyses, material quantity takeoffs, estimates & surveys Perform designs using complex software like Microstation, InRoads, Open Roads & Autocad Civil 3D Complete a variety of assignments (drawings, specifications, & other materials for procurement and construction purposes) Frequent cross- discipline communication Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment & materials Review supplier drawing submittals & perform technical bid analyses Prepare & issue specifications, datasheets, etc. What Required Skills/Qualifications You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) 8 years of relevant civil road/highway design experience Professional Engineer (PE) registration Any state DOT experience is essential Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages associated with civil engineering What Required Skills/Qualifications You'll Bring: Experience with Microstation, Autocad, or Civil 3D Openroads/InRoads experience/proficiency Ohio DOT project experience Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
