Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. We are launching a sports-themed bar in the heart of downtown Cazenovia, NY.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, engaging with patrons, and ensuring a memorable experience for all guests. Paid employee training will be provided and required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register or POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen personnel to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of liquor, mixers, and garnishes.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or bartending is preferred but not required.
- Strong cash handling skills with a basic understanding of retail math.
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions efficiently. (Toast)
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- Basic math skills managing cash transactions.
- A positive attitude with the ability to help create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
