Role Summary:
6K Additive is actively recruiting a Production Planner for a growing and fast paced organization. The Production Planner will be a key contributor to planning operation and responsible for the day-to-day activity of the scheduling and inventory activities. This will include scheduling and coordinating production, releasing production orders, inventory management, ERP transactions and BOM and Router maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop production plans based on capacity, BOM and material readiness to meet customer requirements
- Publish master production schedules to support customer service and inventory turn goals
- Determine production requirements based on multiple plant capacities and production specifications
- Create and release production orders to the shop floor
- Monitor inventories of raw material, WIP, and finished goods to minimize cost and achieve inventory goals
- Coordinate with procurement team to identify raw material needs/gaps
- Maintain data integrity of ERP planning parameters
- Maintain documents & records needed to properly account and reconcile the movement of material
- Verify the accuracy of material check in documents and create work orders for vetting
- Perform all work in a safe and clean manner - maintain a safe workplace, free of clutter and hazards
- Report safety hazards, unsafe working conditions or housecleaning issues to Supervisor, Manager, safety committee member or any management team member
- Support root cause & corrective action solutions to safety incident
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, especially in client-facing contexts as well as ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Fast learner with ability to think abstractly to understand various linkages between departments
- Positive attitude and the willingness to work within cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with quality management system standards (ISO/AS)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior metals/metal powder experience is a plus
- NetSuite/ERP experience a plus
Qualifications/Education:
- 3-5 years of related supply chain/Master Scheduling, production, inventory management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- HS Diploma Minimum / Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or equivalent experience
Requirements:
