The Service Delivery team within Cloud Data Engineering (CDE) is responsible for all the development and implementation operations (DevOps) and support (Product Services) of data pipelines that feed the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) and the Power BI environment that consumes from it. The EDL provides batch and streaming data that drives reporting and analytics across client as well as an API layer that is consumed by many critical operational systems. The DevOps and Product Services teams play important roles in releasing and supporting all the data pipeline components that drive the EDL and collaborating with IT teams to plan for and coordinate the scheduling, approach, and timing of outages and system updates.

As a Release Manager 2, you will collaborate with Domain data engineering teams and other EDL-consuming IT and business teams to define and develop detailed plans for releases. You will coordinate the day-to-day activities of a global support organization acting as a scrum master for the DevOps and Product Services teams. In doing so, you will coordinate detailed interactions between teams to remove blockers for Data and DevOps Engineers. You will conduct reviews of plans and coordinate post-release health checks of new data pipeline components. You are encouraged to identify opportunities to improve current processes, collaborating with various teams and management to streamline or automate manual tasks. There will be opportunities to collaborate with your team and leaders on optimizing steps. Over the next couple of years, there will be a balance of maintaining the releases for existing data pipeline components while also looking to further mature our practice to enable CI/CD-driven release management.

Additional responsibilities may include the following:
