As a Project Manager for Retail Development you will be a part of the Network Development team and provide input to the Maintenance Team Lead to identify sustaining capital requirements and assist in the development of the Irving Oil Marketing (IOM) maintenance capital plan.

Your Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Team Lead, oversees and facilitates the execution of all maintenance repairs for buildings and petroleum systems within the State of Maine
- This role will manage all maintenance capital & expense projects assigned to them, ensuring that all facilities are operational and are in compliance with regulatory agencies while ensuring that IOM processes, codes and standards are adhered to
- The Maintenance Project Manager works closely with internal IOM departments and our external partners to ensure proper alignment during the planning, design, and execution of all maintenance repairs and capital replacement projects
- Under the direction of the Team Lead, this role is primarily responsible for managing projects of various sizes through the entire project cycle, involving individual or multiple locations. They will be the primary advisor to the network of Independent Dealers on construction and branding
- Comply with department processes and protocol for surveying, defining scope, estimating, submitting for approval and executing projects
- Diligent recordkeeping of all aspects of project to protect the organization from risk
- Use proven project management skills to oversee multiple projects
- Bring forward creative, cost-effective solutions to implement Irving brand at independent locations, while ensuring compliance to standards
Your Skills:
- Hands on ability to work at construction sites, to inspect workmanship and develop on-site solutions
- Receive, evaluate & dispatch maintenance service requests through approved vendors and benchmark their performance. Communicate diplomatically and follow-up with vendors and stakeholders until issues are resolved
- Coordination of all third-party service providers ensures all safety requirements are in place (has authority to shut-down sites if all regulations are not being adhered to), during all stages of project from start through completion
- Coordinate site closures/decommissioning and removal of underground petroleum equipment
- Identify areas of improvement in maintenance process and upon approval from Team Lead, implement changes (vendor contracts, preventive maintenance, inspection programs, etc.)
- Provide timely updates to the Team Lead, while tracking and reporting monthly on spending and budgets
- Under the guidance of the Team Lead, manage major maintenance projects and renovations at existing facilities (up to $500k approx.)
Your Experience:
- 2-4 years Project Management experience is preferred
- Facilities experience is required
