Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all details are managed effectively.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing exceptional customer service throughout the planning process.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure the best terms for each event.
- Manage logistics including catering, transportation, audiovisual needs, and on-site coordination during events.
- Upsell additional services or products that enhance the client’s experience while maximizing revenue opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination within the hospitality industry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and vendors.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with fundraising principles is a plus but not required.
- A proactive approach to upselling services or products related to events.
