Main Responsibilities
- Represent the property and the management by projecting a positive hotel image through excellent communication, efficient problem solving, and taking responsibility of guest needs
- Motivate and develop Front Office Team Members to be proficient in all Front Office operations
- Oversee the Door and Page operations
- Handle projects, upsells, audits, tips collection, creation of Standard Operating Procedures based on needs
- Promote a teamwork environment between the Front Office and other departments
- Create a positive learning environment for Front Office and staff of other departments
- Review arrivals, departures, and future reservations for appropriate room assignments and billing setups
- Monitor daily activities and itineraries of guests, and ensure information is disseminated to Front Office team members
- Represent Director of Front Office/Assistant Director of Front Office in their absence.
- Ensure Aman New York standards are being met and always maintained.
Main Qualifications
- A 4-year degree or equivalent in hospitality or related studies
- Must have worked in a luxury hotel at the Front Office at least 2 years
- Must have excellent organizational skills, and excellent verbal and written skills
- Must be proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Opera PMS knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift, push, items, equipment, and packages of up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to stand during a full shift.
