CRT/RRT - FT Night Shift

Essential Functions : Cardiopulmonary Evaluation :  Evaluate cardiopulmonary status and obtain and analyze blood gas samples using a blood gas analyzer. Therapy Delivery :  Deliver and assess response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Policy Evaluation :  Evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices. Emergency Response :  Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assess patient condition and deliver appropriate treatment. Patient Education :  Educate the patient and family about the patient's illness and provide information about community support groups and other resources. Supply Management :  Monitor, receive, stock, and distribute respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders. Maintain storage areas with required supply levels and equipment. Equipment Maintenance :  Disassemble, clean, and sterilize equipment, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration of machines. Shift :  12 hours a day, 36 hours a week (Night Shift)   Job Requirements : Minimum Education : Graduate of a Program in Discipline as verified by proof of state licensure. Associate’s degree - Preferred. Required Skills : Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 8 months of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of hire. Licenses : Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care.
