What are the responsibilities and job description for the CRT/RRT - FT Night Shift position at 77 Consultants?
Essential Functions:
- Cardiopulmonary Evaluation: Evaluate cardiopulmonary status and obtain and analyze blood gas samples using a blood gas analyzer.
- Therapy Delivery: Deliver and assess response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Policy Evaluation: Evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
- Emergency Response: Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assess patient condition and deliver appropriate treatment.
- Patient Education: Educate the patient and family about the patient's illness and provide information about community support groups and other resources.
- Supply Management: Monitor, receive, stock, and distribute respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders. Maintain storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Disassemble, clean, and sterilize equipment, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Education:
- Graduate of a Program in Discipline as verified by proof of state licensure.
- Associate’s degree - Preferred.
Required Skills:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 8 months of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of hire.
Licenses:
- Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care.
