Key Responsibilities
Estimating and Bidding:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and bidding instructions to determine the scope of work.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate soil conditions, access points, and other site-specific challenges.
- Perform accurate takeoffs using Agtek software for volume calculations and staging requirements.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors, ensuring comprehensive scopes of work.
- Research and analyze materials, equipment, and labor requirements for project pricing.
Proposal Development:
- Prepare detailed bid proposals, including inclusions, exclusions, and qualifications.
- Present bids to clients and negotiate terms.
Project Management:
- Set up accounting budgets, develop project schedules, and prepare field documentation.
- Conduct pre-construction meetings with field personnel to communicate scope and exclusions.
- Manage subcontractor contracts and purchase orders.
- Track and implement change orders and budget adjustments.
- Assist with draw applications and closeout documentation.
Field Coordination:
- Ensure compliance with utility locates and safety regulations.
- Attend field meetings to address challenges and maintain project alignment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Ability to perform takeoffs using Agtek software.
- At least 3 years of experience in estimating civil projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid software.
- Project management experience in the construction industry.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong critical path scheduling and budget management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Strong analytical abilities to review drawings and specifications.
- Mastery of estimating and change order processes.

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
