Job Summary
The Mitigation Supervisor will oversee multiple job sites, managing field technicians and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available for mitigation projects. This role involves working directly with property owners and insured clients to prevent further property damage. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive mitigation experience, and a commitment to high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee mitigation projects related to fire, water, and environmental damage.
Secure all required project documentation, including Work Authorizations, Wet Logs, Scope Sheets, and Completion Certificates.
Conduct moisture mapping and establish project scopes.
Install containment and safety mechanisms as required.
Establish and monitor drying protocols using specialized equipment.
Capture loss data using 3D imaging tools such as Matterport/Docusketch.
Conduct controlled demolition and emergency cleaning/sanitization.
Collect samples for testing (iTel, Lead, Asbestos) when necessary.
Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
Manage, pack, and move clients’ personal property.
Engage in sales activities, including client follow-ups, obtaining reviews, and securing referrals.
Place yard signage and maintain positive client interactions.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
In-depth knowledge of mitigation and dry-out processes, with the ability to train team members.
Experience in mitigation, restoration, or reconstruction industries.
Strong work ethic and professional demeanor, setting an example for the field team.
Proficiency in technology, including iPads, iPhones, DASH, Cam, and Xactimate software.
Ability to work in PPE, including respiratory protection.
Comfortable working in high places, tight spaces, and environments with fire, smoke, water damage, mold, or mildew.
Current certifications such as WRT, ASD, EPA Lead Renovator, AHERA Certification preferred.
Extensive knowledge of ANSI/IICRC Standards for Water Damage Restoration.
Strong customer service and teamwork skills, with adaptability to diverse client needs.
High sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to meet changing business demands.
High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational School certification required.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Fairfield, NJ.
Availability for after-hours and weekend work when required.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must pass a background check and comply with company policies.
Physical Requirements
Frequent body movements, including walking, bending, reaching, and grasping.
Standing for extended periods and assisting with unloading/loading equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Full use of speech, sight, and hearing required.
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
