Salesforce Functional Consultant

SUMMARY

The Salesforce Functional Consultant will coordinate requirements gathering, testing, and change management at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, translating business requirements into functional specifications and testing scenarios. This full-time position is remote to the Atlanta, GA area.

Must be able to pass a customer (CDC) background check for access to facilities, equipment and property.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to pass a customer (CDC) background check for access to facilities, equipment and property.  

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, or relevant fields and a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience. 

Some proficiency in Salesforce, encompassing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Lightning Experience. 

Experience developing user stories and technical documentation. 

Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and adeptness in working with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery. 

Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels. 

Understanding of key SFDC architectural concepts.  

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling the translation of complex business requirements into actionable solutions. 

Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with Salesforce platform updates and enhancements. 

Combination of business analysis and technology implementation experience. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

Utilize significant experience in Salesforce to drive successful client discovery and delivery in a fast-paced, delivery-focused role. 

Collaborate effectively across functional and technical teams to deliver projects on time and within scope. 

Coordinate with clients to define business requirements and translate their needs into innovative Salesforce solutions. 

Develop artifacts (such as wireframes, user stories, technical documentation) to support requirements gathering and development 

Oversee the integration of other systems to the Salesforce platform. 

Keep up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features and trends. 

Participate in regular calls with stakeholders to conduct discovery, provide progress updates, and address risks. 

Track and manage action items and tasks across client stakeholder groups. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, or relevant fields and a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
