The Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented professional who excels at keeping an office organized and running smoothly? We're seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join our team and provide crucial support to our Executive Team while managing essential HR and administrative functions.
Position Overview:
As our Operations Specialist, you'll wear multiple hats, handling everything from administrative support and payroll processing to employee benefits administration and office management. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Team
- Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain associated records
- Manage employee benefits administration, including health/dental insurance and 401k
- Handle HR functions, including maintaining confidential personnel files and records
- Conduct new hire orientations and support employee onboarding/offboarding
- Process customer payments and assist with accounting tasks
- Maintain a professional office environment and manage office equipment
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee office needs
- Document and update office procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Two-year college degree in business, accounting, or related field OR three years of accounting/accounts payable experience
- Minimum two years of office management experience, including staff supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Experience with computerized accounting systems
- Knowledge of HR functions and benefits administration
