As they continue to scale, they’re looking for a Head of Product Management who is a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to product development.
This role will be Head of Product for a two-sided marketplace - driving product vision, managing the roadmap, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our digital offerings. The ideal candidate has a strong background in product management and user experience (UX) design, with a data-driven mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
This is a remote position with a preference for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone or Mountain Time Zone. Monthly travel to the Bay Area is expected for this position. For candidates in the Bay Area, this is a hybrid role in the East Bay.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Road mapping: Define and execute a strategic product roadmap aligned with business goals, user needs, and market trends.
User Research: Conduct user research to identify pain points and opportunities, transforming insights into actionable product features and solutions.
Feature Definition and Prioritization: Develop clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, balancing business needs, technical feasibility, and user impact.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure seamless execution of product initiatives.
Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage analytics and key performance metrics to guide product development and validate features post-launch.
User Testing and Feedback: Oversee usability testing, A/B experiments, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to refine the product experience.
Iterative Development: Define and manage Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), iterating based on user feedback and performance insights.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the product lead, keeping internal stakeholders informed on progress, challenges, and product performance.
Process Improvement: Establish scalable processes and accountability for consistent delivery of high-quality product experiences.
Requirements
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in product management in eCommerce. Marketplace or travel experience is preferred.
- Experience with an early stage tech company.
- Proven track record of delivering successful digital products from ideation to launch.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of UX principles and familiarity with design tools like Figma.
- Data fluency, with experience in tools like Mixpanel, Google Analytics, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid technical acumen to work effectively with engineering teams.
