Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the EHS Manager and plant management in understanding the business risk associated with EHS and implement activities to manage these risks.
- Implement systems to ensure EHS requirements are continuously aligned to requirements e.g., internal audits, procedural updates and training, etc.
- Development of technical solutions to address EHS challenges. Implement, train and coordinate the activities of the plant related to EHS matters, that is but not limited to, emergency response team to intervene during emergencies that could impact the business, safe system of work etc.
- Proactively identify potential EHS hazards through risk assessments, Gemba walks, inspections etc., and drive timely corrective actions, Address EHS deficiencies within legislative, Baxter global policies, ISO14001 and ISO45001 frameworks.
- Use of digital tools to manage EHS requirements.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of EHS regulations.
- Self-motivated, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a manufacturing plant setting.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Education and or experience
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
- 2 years of experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be considered as an asset.
