Location BLIRC Bronson Lifestyle Improvement & Research Center Title BAC Member Services Rep 1 - PRN Membership Staff are responsible for promoting the value of Bronson Athletic Club and showing potential members the benefits of belonging to a Bronson facility. It is the job of Membership Staff to generate revenue by bringing awareness of the facility to potential members in the Kalamazoo area. This is accomplished by researching and producing lists of target demographic areas, creating and mailing documents which are both inviting and enticing to prospects, and following up leads through correspondence; via email, personal notes, and phone calls. Membership Staff follow the same procedure in generating lists of previous members and contacting them with information about exciting promotions, programs, and amenities offered both at the club and at Bronson Methodist Hospital. It is vital that the incumbent maintains a poised and professional demeanor so that they are approachable and knowledgeable when members and prospective members inquire about the facility. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or 3-5 years of sales/customer service experience required • Strong interpersonal communication skills • Must have computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook in building reports, creating mailings, running a mail merge, etc. Experience in Publisher and POS systems • Interpersonal skills are essential • Must be able to communicate clearly and in an informed fashion (verbally and in written form) Work which produces very high levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g. CRT work between 70 and 90 percent of the time, and work involving extremely close tolerances and considerable hand/eye coordination for sustained periods of time. Involves regularly lifting of bulky or moderately heavy weights (i.e., up to 50 pounds), and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or expending the equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling material, equipment, and other objects. • Promotes the Bronson Athletic Club product, answering questions, and creating a desirable/family friendly environment for members and prospective members. • Communicates effectively on the phone and in person to convey information to prospective members, allowing them to make an informed decision about joining. • Gathers guest registration cards from Sales Director and generates thank you notes to follow up with prospective members. Makes note of special VIP guests who have 5 days to use the club and schedules a follow up call at that point to gauge interest in joining. • Reviews email inbox for inter-office communications as well as prospective member emails and follows up in a timely manner. • Generates reports in Jonas Software/Microsoft Excel to review previous members for promotional mailings. Generates mailer/labels/envelopes. • Generates reports in Jonas Software/Microsoft Excel to show prospective members that have already been toured, spoken with, or had information mailed to them. Follows up with phone call or promotional mailer. • Processes new members in the system: o Reviews completed application and entry into Jonas Software o Reviews “Bronson New Member Fact Sheet” points with member and obtains signature. o Reviews Jumpstart Program with new member and signs them up if interested. o Processes photo in system and prints new card. o Processes payment for initiation fee as well as any other necessary costs. o Answers any other questions or concerns – welcomes new members to the club. • Facilitates member resolution for any misdirected member/potential member when Membership Services is not available. • Works with Sales Director to develop demographic target lists based on member interest to being run through Jonas Club Broadcasting email promotional programs. • Works with Sales Director to develop member retention program which will be run on new Jonas Software. This retention program will include point accumulation/rewards program incentive special promotions.
