Description:
88 Tactical is seeking a full-time Event Coordinator. The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable and detail oriented. The Event Coordinator handles the event planning and client communication from start to finish. This person must work within the client’s budget and coordinate the logistics with multiple departments to execute an orderly and enjoyable event. Customer service skills and attention to detail are a necessity for this position. The Event Coordinator must be capable of multitasking and work well with strict deadlines.
88 Tactical has classrooms, a conference room and a restaurant for off-site business meetings and parties. We also offer private training classes and team-building activities like shooting, self-defense or rappelling.
A flexible schedule is required, as events may take place during evenings or weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Answer email and phone inquiries for events in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain top-of-mind knowledge of the different types of event offerings and pricing
- Coordinate with the other departments (Training, Retail, Food & Beverage, etc.) as needed
- Plan all aspects of the event and communicate effectively with the clients and staff
- Act as the “project manager,” ensuring each “to-do” for the event is done on time
- Assist with room set-up and tear-down before and after events
- Understand how different tiers of membership affect event pricing and offerings
- Use the scheduling/POS software to book rooms and collect payment
- Come up with contingency plans for each event to plan for (and potentially avoid) issues
- Work and monitor each event to ensure a smooth operation and client satisfaction
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Event Manager
- Able to work under time constraints and deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 years of related experience within the event, service or hospitality industries.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with budgeting and project management
- Leadership experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
- Knowledge of restaurant operations
- Must be able to work with fluctuating schedules based on departmental needs.
Reports To: Event Manager
Compensation: $40,000 to $50,000 Salary Range Commission
