Role Overview:
As a Recreational Ping Pong Coach, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering new and innovative recreational programming. You will be instrumental in engaging both children and adults in enjoyable ping pong classes and camps that cater to various skill levels. Collaborating with our coaching team, you will support existing recreational programs while also providing hitting partner services to further enhance the experience for our clients. Additionally, you will actively contribute to marketing and selling our programs, building strong community connections through events and school partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create New Recreational Classes: Develop and design exciting recreational ping pong classes that cater to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all participants.
- Engage Kids and Adults: Foster a fun and positive learning environment that encourages active participation and skill development among both children and adult learners.
- Collaborate with Coaching Team: Work alongside our existing coaching team to assist in delivering high-quality recreational programs, fostering a cohesive and supportive coaching environment.
- Offer Hitting Partner Services: Provide personalized hitting partner services to players seeking additional practice and guidance, helping them improve their technique and gameplay.
- Contribute to Marketing and Sales: Collaborate with the 888 team to promote and market our recreational programs through community events, social media, and school partnerships, attracting new participants and increasing program enrollment.
Requirements:
- Ping Pong Expertise: A strong passion for and expertise in ping pong, with a deep understanding of the game's rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Coaching Experience: Proven experience in coaching ping pong, preferably in a recreational or community setting, with the ability to engage and motivate players of all ages and skill levels.
- Creativity and Adaptability: Ability to think creatively and develop new recreational class concepts to keep participants excited and engaged.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with coaching peers and participants.
- Marketing Acumen: Basic knowledge of marketing principles and the ability to contribute to the promotion and growth of our recreational programs.
- Community Engagement: Demonstrated experience in connecting with local communities, schools, and organizations to promote sports programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Relevant coaching certifications or qualifications in ping pong or related sports coaching.
- Fitness Background: Knowledge of fitness-based training methodologies and their application to ping pong coaching.
