LBMC IT Audit Consultant team members will typically be assigned to rotating client accounts and complete consulting projects based on client needs and stakeholder timelines, so this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to work in a fast-paced environment where no two weeks are the same. High-performing candidates have a clearly defined path for advancement to Senior Staff and upper-level management roles within LBMC. Fully remote work may be available to qualified candidates, but some travel may still be required as requested by clients.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Performs IT control testing in accordance with defined testing plans. Documents testing in a manner that thoroughly explains the procedures performed as well as the related results.
- Assess security and privacy programs and strategies using industry frameworks (e.g. SOX, SSAE 18, SOC1, SOC2, HITRUST etc.) and document audit findings
- Possesses or attains a clear understanding of the engagement objective in order to perform only the necessary procedures.
- Accurately completes tasks within the timeframes established by client and keeps client personnel informed on deliverables as appropriate.
- Communicates status of engagement to Senior Consultants and Managers in a timely manner. Informs Senior Consultants and Managers of issues that arise with the client so that they are fully informed of all matters. Prepares work papers that are neat, organized, clear and cross referenced.
- Responds positively to suggestions to improve work quality and demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
- Continually develops technical skills in IT auditing, information security and consulting.
- Prepares for and completes CISA or CISSP examination.
- Becomes involved in community/civic/social organizations and events.
- Under the direction of Senior Leadership and Consulting Team Mentors, Works diligently building relationships with key stakeholders at client organizations to continue to foster a long-term partnership between the LBMC Risk and Technology Departments and external clients. High-performing individuals will be alert to client needs for the possible expansion of services to other LBMC service lines
- Adheres to LBMC’s defined processes and procedures including the firm's policy on privacy and client confidentiality.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Security, Systems Management, Assurance or a related discipline
- 1 years of security risk assessment experience (internships are accepted)
- Reporting experience related to SOX, SOC, FISMA, SSAE, ISO, HIPPA, etc. is preferred
- CISA/CISSP certification – actively pursuing or interest in pursuing (this requires additional course hours to be qualified to sit for the exam)
- Strong presentation, attention to detail, documentation, and collaboration skills
LBMC CONSULTING WORK ENVIORNMENT
- Successful candidates will be working in a team environment with work performed in the company's office, remotely at client sites throughout the United States, or at a home office. This team is based in Nashville but allows candidates to sit anywhere in the United States
- Overnight travel may be required as requested by clients
