Merchandiser/Design Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Merchandiser/Design Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the design process by assisting with various tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong organizational skills, a passion for design, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Display and Presentation:Arranging product displays, creating samples, organizing a busy design showroom, and ensuring products are neatly presented.
• Customer Service:Providing assistance to store staff and handling customer inquiries related to products.
• Design: Preparing showroom for customer meetings/appointments.
• Teamwork:Collaborating with, sales associates, and other team members to achieve sales goals.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills: are crucial for interacting with suppliers, store staff, and customers.
• Organizational skills: are essential for managing inventory and creating effective displays.
• Problem-solving skills: are important for addressing inventory issues, display problems, and customer concerns.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising principles: and practices is helpful.
• A valid driver's license: may be required for travel to different store locations.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a design-related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Proficiency in inventory management practices.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Leadership experience is a plus, particularly in training or mentoring roles.
• Familiarity with sales techniques and an understanding of how to sell design services effectively.
• Multilingual abilities are highly desirable, enhancing communication with a broader audience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
