Responsibilities
Position Summary :
Our Maintenance Electricians are a valuable part of our team. Our Maintenance Electrician performs troubleshooting and preventative maintenance work throughout the facility during their shift. The priorities for this role include preventative maintenance, electrical & controls troubleshooting, training of all employees, repair of electrical & controls systems equipment and components, rebuilding of electrical & controls systems equipment and components.
Schedule : 5pm-3am (rotating 8 on 6 off)
- Training will be done on 1st shift for 4-8 weeks, once qualified you will return to your permanent schedule
Pay : $35 / hour with a shift differential of $0.50 / hour
Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform daily electrical or controls tasks and troubleshooting of packaging and production equipment and systems, including : Extruder, Dryers, Dry bulk storage & conveying, Dilute phase pneumatic conveying, High speed packaging including cartoners, baggers, case-packers, palletizers, thermal fluid process heaters, material handling systems, water chillers, compressed air systems, and HVAC systemsPartner with operations and maintenance teams to solve repetitive problems, complete preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance programs and workPartner with operations to learn operating systems, while providing training to production teams on electrical & controls componentsMaintain all electrical systems to National Electrical Code standardModify, add, and change electrical systems with little or no supervisionMaintain current back up files for all equipment control systemsProvide assistance with capital project development and implementationMaintain plant schematics and documentation on equipmentTroubleshooting using machine control schematicsOther duties, as assignedEducation and Experience Required :
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and overtimeRequires a two-year Electrical Technician degree and / or one of the following :Completed apprenticeship in electro-mechanical, electrical, controls or related fieldMilitary training and experience in a relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)3 years hands-on experience in an controls, automation, or electrical roleMust be willing to become CPR certifiedPreferred Education, Experience, and Skills :
MN State Class A Journeyman Electrician LicensePrevious employee leadership experienceEffective verbal and written communication skills required.Previous electrical & controls experience in a food manufacturing facilityPrevious experience reading blueprints and control schematicsPrevious experience with Allen Bradly, PLC, touch screensPrevious experience with VFD'sOSHA 10 certificationExperience with operation of forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated liftsPhysical Requirements : Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation :

Salary : $35
