Starting $22.50/hour
After completion of Correspondence Course potential of $24.75/hour
After competency level which allows full mill operations potential of $29.75/hour

Our Mill Operator adds value to our business by assisting the Lead Mill Operator in the operation of grain handling, cleaning, milling systems, and product transfer systems at optimum levels to ensure designated quality levels of finished products.

Position Summary:
Our Mill Operator adds value to our business by assisting the Lead Mill Operator in the operation of grain handling, cleaning, milling systems, and product transfer systems at optimum levels to ensure designated quality levels of finished products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate milling equipment at optimum levels to ensure designated quality and extraction levels
- Monitors regrind system and works with packaging personnel to keep the system running efficiently
- Maintains Master Sanitation Schedule and HACCP documentation for assigned area of responsibility
- Perform duties and responsibilities of the Grain Receiver/Loader position on an as-needed basis
- Partner with company leadership to proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of: safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation
- Other duties, as assigned
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Must successfully complete IAOM correspondence course in Milling Science within one year of beginning role as Mill Operator
- Excellent written, oral and computer skills
- 2 years in manufacturing environment with wheat milling experience preferred
- Mechanical ability to operate and maintain milling equipment
- Must be able to balance, bend, crouch, sit, kneel and stoop for 3 hours per shift
- Must be able to climb up/down ladders, and reach above shoulders for 3 hours per shift
- Must be able to work in dusty environment and confined space for 3 hours per shift
- Must be able to push/pull and use fine motor skills for 3 hours per shift
- Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds for 3 hours per shift
- Must be able to lift-up to 10 pounds for 6 hours per shift
- Must be able to work in high heat/humid environment for 6 hours per shift
- Must be able to feel and grasp for 6 hours per shift
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours per shift
- Must be willing to wear a respirator as needed
- Must be able to make fine distinctions by sound
- Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of written or spoken word and distinguish objects or equipment visually
