Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: Days (United States of America) Primary Function/General Purpose of Position This position is responsible for the oversight of revenue cycle processes for Urgent Care and Occupational Health entities delivering patient care that is billable to government and third party payers. The position is responsible for implementing policies, processes, and best practices to optimize revenue for service lines. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring effective coordination between revenue cycle and payors with other stakeholders in driving outcomes of overall improved revenue. Essential Job Functions Provide strategic leadership for policy creation, process development, and technology decisions to support efficient and effective revenue cycle activities for Urgent Care and Occupational Health service lines. Manage and evaluate the performance of multiple revenue cycle vendors and oversee transition to a unified system (Epic) for all Urgent Care and Occupational Health revenue cycle activities. Oversee the revenue cycle for both urgent care and occupational health, including billing patients, insurances, and employers directly, including, but not limited to, the unique billing processes for each service line within various geographical locations. Provide leadership and development to assigned team of associates. Adapt to rapid growth, particularly within Urgent Care, and manage the integration of new acquisitions into the revenue cycle process. Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and provide accurate financial reporting for both Urgent Care and Occupational Health service lines. Develop and track key performance indicators for revenue cycle management, focusing on areas like charge capture, denial management, and patient collections. Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to align revenue management strategies with overall business objectives. Required Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or related field 5 years’ experience in healthcare revenue cycle or revenue management 3 years’ direct leadership experience EPIC Electronic Health Record Preferred CPA, FHFMA, or CRCR Master’s degree in business, finance, or healthcare administration, or related field Working knowledge of CPT/HCPCS, UB-04 Revenue Coding, modifiers, billing regulations, DRG’s and APCs Experience with multiple billing systems Bon Secours Mercy Health is an equal opportunity employer.
