PCI provides Calibration, Commissioning & Consulting solutions to our clients across multiple regulated industries including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, food & beverage and more. We are seeking an Intern that is interested in learning about Calibration services within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. This is a challenging and exciting position that will give a student a valuable learning experience with FDA regulations in a highly technical environment. PCI is a great place to meet skilled team members, working together to achieve success for our associates and provide quality instrumentation services for our clients.

This Intern position provides support to the Business Development Team and Marketing Strategist in Raleigh, NC with various duties by being helpful, professional, cordial, friendly, and supportive.  

Responsibilities of an Intern may include:

  • Manage CRM contacts: Stay organized by helping track and manage customer relationships using CRM tools.
  • Conduct market research: Dive into data to explore customer trends by region and industry, like manufacturing, R&D, and medical devices.
  • Collaborate with Business Development: Team up with leadership to identify key regional priorities and opportunities.
  • Reconcile feedback: Review and adjust the cadence of contact strategies based on team feedback.
  • Organize and categorize forms: Help index various forms and procedures by instrument type or model to keep everything streamlined.
  • Analyze pricing info: Gather and compare pricing details for services and parts from OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) or third-party vendors.
  • Create new procedures: Work alongside experts to develop new forms and processes for emerging capabilities.
  • Build a pricing database: Develop and maintain a single, easy-to-access spreadsheet that serves as the ultimate pricing reference guide.
  • General admin support: Assist with filing, scanning, copying, organizing, and basic data entry tasks to keep things running smoothly.
  • Mail and shipments: Help with mailing tasks like shipping FedEx packages and ensuring smooth delivery of documents.
  • Team involvement: Be an active participant in team meetings, sharing ideas and learning from others.
  • Learn about regulations: Get hands-on exposure to FDA regulations, cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) processes, and industry standards for instrumentation.

Experience & Education Required:

Currently enrolled in an Associate's / Bachelor's degree program with a focus on Technical fields, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior professional work experience helpful. 

This position is temporary without benefits, may be part or full time depending on business need, and is a non-exempt position.
