Intern

The Intern reports directly to the Team Leader/Manager/Director.  This position is temporary, without benefits, and may be full or part time depending on business need.  This position is non-exempt.

Expectations:

The PCI Intern will support general team operations by being helpful, professional, cordial, and supportive while performing various duties.  Interns support PCI’s Values by demonstrating Honesty, Integrity, Pride, Accountability, Teamwork, and Commitment.

Responsibilities & Assignments:

• Provide assistance with routine lab, office or field support tasks.
• Perform basic office functions such as: Filing, mail sorting, scanning, copying, and organizing.
• Update/interpret policies and other technical documentation.
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation and data entry.
• Assist with putting together presentations and other documents; gather content, format, etc.
• Participate in respective team meetings.
• Responsible for proper handling and maintenance of PCI and client equipment, including testing and standards equipment
• Entering and updating CMMS system information relevant to calibrations performed
• Gain exposure to FDA Regulations, cGMP processes, and other instrumentation practices through field experience, trainings, and other related events.
• Provides pickup and delivery services to clients and 3rd party suppliers.
• Provides logistical and administrative support for shipping and receiving client equipment.

Skills Required:

• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
• Willingness to learn and support various organizational departments and objectives.
• Understands and applies basic concepts of calibration and requirements including accuracy testing
• Adaptable and able to change easily from one task/project to another.
• Responsive and meets deadlines within designated timeframe.
• Strong written and verbal communication; excellent interpersonal skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.

Experience & Education Required:

Currently enrolled in a two or four year degree program with a focus on technical fields, Life Sciences, or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior professional work experience is helpful.
