Job Description
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on lab support and process development for the chemical synthesis and downstream processing of oligonucleotide-based drug substances.
Synthesize oligonucleotides up to an 11 mmol scale.
Perform downstream processing, including prep-HPLC, ultrafiltration, annealing, concentration, and lyophilization.
Conduct in-process analytical testing such as AX-HPLC, IPRP-HPLC, LC-MS, and UV-Vis.
Offer technical support for optimizing contract manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field (Biochemistry, Molecular Biology).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of analytical techniques (pH, osmolality, conductivity measurement, HPLC, LC-MS, etc.)—hands-on experience preferred.
Knowledge of oligonucleotide manufacturing processes, including phosphoramidite chemistry, chromatography, and ultrafiltration, is a plus.
Experience with small molecules and DNA/RNA synthesis is a bonus.
Lab & Documentation Skills:
Strong commitment to maintaining high laboratory and scientific standards.
Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly laboratory environment.
Assist in routine lab and equipment maintenance.
Excellent record-keeping and laboratory documentation practices.
