Job Overview
A-1 Amusement & Party Rental is seeking an Event Specialist/Customer Service Representative to work part-time in our office located in Cincinnati, Ohio. We provide a wide variety of games and entertainment for schools, churches corporations, communities and private parties and events. This position will be responsible for daily office work and interactions with customers to ensure their rental experience is high quality. The position is part-time hours, year round, non-commission. Office hours are 8:30a to 5:00p Monday through Friday. This position would work 2 days during the off season (from November through April) and 3 or 4 days during peak season (May through October). Specific hours can be discussed during the hiring process.
Responsibilities:
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a professional manner to help plan customer's event.
- Use rental system and text/communication software to interact with customers and create contracts.
- Provide accurate information regarding products and services to customers.
- General office duties include filling out paperwork, filing, copying, reviewing and responding to email inquiries.
- Process transactions including cash handling with cash drawer and daily money balances.
- Create promotional flyers and offers to share with existing and new customers via social media, mail, email or phone calls.
- Conduct outbound calling to follow up on customer inquiries or feedback.
- Reach out to existing customer base and prospective customers to assist with upcoming rental needs.
- Maintain a high level of phone etiquette while communicating with customers.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex issues.
- Assist in sales efforts by identifying opportunities for upselling.
- Basic office cleaning duties such as sweeping, vacuuming and office bathrooms.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer support or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word). Ability to learn rental software system and texting app.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Experience with outbound calling is a plus.
- Ability to learn and retain pricing and information for all items inventory.
- A friendly, positive attitude, enthusiastic and willingness to learn.
- Punctual and dependable
- Must be a team player and wiling to be a part of a close-knit group to make things run smoothly.
