Ranch Hand/Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the ranch's operations, ensuring the well-being of animals, and supporting various agricultural activities. This position requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a passion for working outdoors.

Duties

• Assist in daily ranch operations including feeding, watering, and caring for livestock.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment and farm machinery safely and efficiently.
• Participate in greenhouse activities such as planting, growing, and harvesting crops.
• Utilize hand tools for various tasks including repairs and maintenance of facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections of animals to monitor health and report any issues.
• Supervise junior staff or volunteers as needed to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
• Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required by the job.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and supplies.

Skills

• Proficiency in animal handling with a focus on care and welfare.
• Experience with greenhouse operations is a plus.
• Strong ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
• Knowledge of growing techniques for various crops is beneficial.
• Familiarity with using hand tools for maintenance tasks.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
• Understanding of farm machinery operation and maintenance practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to supervise others effectively.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
