Automotive Service Writer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between our customers and the service department, ensuring that all service needs are accurately documented and communicated. This role requires excellent customer service skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at once.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
• Document customer concerns and relay information to service technicians.
• Prepare detailed service estimates and invoices for customers.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
• Follow up with customers regarding their vehicle status and any additional services needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient workflow in the service department.

Requirements

• Previous experience in automotive sales or service writing is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for documentation and communication purposes.
• A background as a service technician or in automotive service is a plus.
• Must be able to transmit information clearly between customers and the technical team.
• Pay is based on experience.
