Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Assisted Living Shuttle Driver to provide safe, comfortable, and timely transportation services for our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience driving and a passion for working with seniors, ensuring they get to and from their appointments, activities, and outings with dignity and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to and from medical appointments, shopping centers, social outings, and other scheduled activities.
- Ensure passengers’ safety at all times by following traffic laws, providing assistance while entering and exiting the shuttle, and using appropriate safety equipment.
- Assist residents with getting on and off the vehicle as needed, offering a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the shuttle vehicle, including daily inspections for safety and any maintenance needs.
- Communicate with the facility's staff to ensure timely and efficient scheduling and coordination of transportation.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and maintaining confidentiality.
- Report any issues or incidents promptly to the supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a driver (preferably in a senior care, healthcare, or transportation setting).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with seniors and their families in a respectful and empathetic manner.
- Ability to lift and assist residents with mobility challenges.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background check required.
